Bu kelime Kuranda aşağıdaki ayetlerde geçmektedir.
o 24/35 Muhammed Allâh'ın elçisidir. Onun yanında bulunanlar, kâfirlere karşı katı, birbirlerine karşı merhametlidirler. Onların, rükû' ve secde ederek Allâh'ın lutuf ve rızâsını aradıklarını görürsün. Yüzlerinde secde izinden nişanları vardır. Onların Tevrât'taki vasıfları ve İncildeki vasıfları da şöyle bir ekin gibidir ki, filizini çıkardı, onu güçlendirdi, kalınlaştı, derken gövdesinin üstüne dikildi, ekincilerin hoşuna gider, onlara karşı kâfirleri de öfkelendirir bir duruma geldi. Allâh onlardan inanıp iyi işler yapanlara mağfiret ve büyük mükâfât va'detmiştir. Allâh, göklerin ve yerin nurudur. O'nun nuru, içinde lamba bulunan bir kandile benzer. Lamba cam içerisindedir. Cam, sanki inciden bir yıldız. Ne doğuya ve ne batıya mensub olmayan mübârek bir zeytin ağacı(nın yağı)ndan yakılır. (Öyle mübârek bir ağaç) Ki, neredeyse ateş değmese de yağı ışık verir. Işığı parıl, parıldır. Allâh, dilediği kimseyi nuruna iletir. Allâh insanlara misaller verir. Allâh her şeyi bilir.
o 6/99 O'dur ki, size gökten su indirdi. Onunla her çeşit bitkiyi çıkardık, o bitkiden bir filiz çıkardık, ondan da birbiri üzerine binmiş dâneler; hurmanın tomurcuğundan sarkan salkımlar; üzüm bağları; zeytin ve nar (bahçeleri) çıkarıyoruz. (Bunların) kimi birbirine benzer, kimi benzemez. Her birinin meyvesine bakın: Meyve verirken ve olgunlaştığı zaman. Şüphesiz bu size gösterilenlerde, inananlar toplumu için elbette çok ibret vardır.
o 6/141 Çardaklı ve çardaksız (üzüm) bahçeleri, ürünleri çeşit çeşit hurma(ları), ekin(ler)i, zeytinleri, narları -birbirine benzer, benzemez biçimde- yaratan hep O'dur. Her biri meyva verdiği zaman meyvasından yeyin, hasat günü hakkını (sadakasını) verin; fakat israf etmeyin; çünkü O, israf edenleri sevmez!
o 16/11 Onunla size ekin, zeytin, hurma, üzümler ve her çeşit meyvalardan bitirmektedir. Şüphesiz bunda düşünen bir toplum için ibret vardır.

· Siyene : Seneler anlamındaki "sinin" kelimesi diğer ayetlerde (سنين) şeklinde yazılır. Bu ayette ise (سينين) şeklinde yazılı. "Sin" ve "nun" harfleri arasında bir "ye" harfi var. Dolayısıyla bu kelimenin kökü (سين) (SİN) dir. S in min el-nas: İnsanlardan bir kimse, bunun çoğulu olan sinin; insanlar, kimseler, sene kelimesinin çoğulu, yıllar anlamına gelir YB. Yıl, sene SMutçalı. Sinin; mübarek, güzel, ağaçlı manaları da verilmiştir.
· Tûri sînîn : Yılların, insanların evrimi, gelişimi YB. Tûr-i Sînîn “الطّور - et-tûr” sözcüğünün aslı “temel” demektir. Araplar evin temeline “طورالدّار - tavaru’d-dâr” demektedirler. Ancak bu sözcük, evin üzerine yapıldığı ilk temeli kapsadığı gibi, apartman katlarından her birinin başlangıcı anlamındaki ara temeli tavr de kapsar. Nitekim Türkçede “kademe”, “aşama” sözcükleriyle ifade edilen طور - tavr” sözcüğü, Nuh sûresinin 14. âyetînde “وقد خلقناكماطوارا - ve kad haleknâküm etvâra [sizi aşama aşama yarattık]” ifadesinde de bu anlamda kullanılmıştır. “Temel” anlamı ekseninde “kaya” ve “ağaç” için kullanılan “tûr” sözcüğü, daha sonra “dağ” anlamında kullanılmaya başlanmış ve bu anlamıyla daha meşhur olmuştur. Sözcüğün bu yöndeki gelişimine uygun olarak araştırmacıların bir kısmı “tûr” sözcüğünün genel anlamda “dağ” demek olduğunu söylemişler, bir kısmı ise Mûsâ peygamberin vahiy aldığı özel dağın adı olduğunu ileri sürmüşlerdir. Gerçekten de “tûr” sözcüğü, Kur’ân’da yer aldığı âyetlerde Mûsâ peygamberin vahiy aldığı özel dağın adı olarak kullanılmıştır (Bakara 63, 93, Nisa 154, Meryem 52, Ta Ha 80, Müminun 20, Kasas 29, 46, Tur 1, Tîn 2). Bizim görüşümüze göre de Mûsâ peygambere Allah tarafından ilk hitabın yapıldığı dağın adı olan “tûr” sözcüğü, “sînâ, senâ” gibi sözcüklerle birleştirildiğinde “Sînâ, Dağı” anlamına gelmektedir HYılmaz. Hak Teâlâ'nın "Sina dağına (yemin olsun ki)" ifadesine gelince, buradaki "Tür" ile, üzerinde Allah Teâlâ'nın Hz. Musa (a.s) ile konuştuğu dağ kastedilmiştir. Alimler, "sînîn" ve "sînâ"nın, bu dağın bulunduğu yerin iki adı olduğunu ve bu yere nisbet edilerek böyle söylendiklerini söylemişlerdir. Müfessirlere gelince, mesela, İkrime'nin rivayetine göre, İbn Abbas (r.a) "Tûr"un, dağ; "sînîn'in ise, Habeşce'de "güzel" manasına geldiğini söylemiştir. Mücâhîd de, "sînîn"e, "mübarek" manasını vermiş, Kelbî, "ağaçlı dağ" manasını vermiştir. Mukatil ise, "Nabatca'da, meyveli ağaçların bulunduğu her dağ "sînîn" ve "sînâ"dır" der. Vahidî de şöyle der: "Evlâ olan, "sînîn" kelimesinin, Tûr dağının bulunduğu yerin adı olmasıdır. Sonra bu yer, güzelliğinden veya mübarek (bereketli) oluşundan ötürü sînîn ve sînâ adını almıştır. Kendisine muzaf olduğu için "sînîn"in, "Tûr"un sıfatı olması caiz değildir FRazi.

Meselâ, Fecr sûresinin 8. âyetinde Rabbimiz “Ülkelerde benzeri yaratılmamış olan sütun sahibi İrem’e” demek sûretiyle Babil bahçelerini/kulelerini tanımlarken “لميخلق مثلها - lem yuhlaq mislüha [benzeri yaratılmamıştı]” ifadesini kullanmıştır. Bizler biliyoruz ki, İrem’i yapan, Kur’ân’daki ifadesiyle “halq” eden [yaratan] insanlardır. Bundan başka, Rabbimiz Âl-i Imran sûresinin 49. âyetinde “انّىاخلق لكم - enni ehlüqu leküm [sizin için yaratırım] …” ve Maide sûresinin 110. âyetinde “واذتخلق - ve iz tahlüqu mine’t-tîni [hani sen çamurdan yaratıyordun] …” diyerek yaratma sözcüğünü Îsâ Peygamber için, Ankebût sûresinin 17. âyetinde “وتخلقونإفكا - ve tahlüqûne ifken [iftira yaratıyorsunuz] …” diyerek müşrikler için kullanmıştır.Bu örnekler, “خلق - halq” sözcüğünün sadece Allah’a ait olan “yoktan var etme” eylemi için değil, terzinin kumaştan elbise yapması, marangozun keresteden dolap yapması gibi “bir nesneden başka bir şey yapma” veya “uydurma” gibi eylemler için de kullanıldığını göstermektedir.HY.
· Ahsen-i Takvîm: “التّقويم - takvîm” sözcüğü; “düzeltme, doğrultma, kıvamına koyma” demektir. “Ahsen-i takvîm” tamlaması da “en güzel doğrultuda, en uygun kıvamda” anlamına gelir. İnsanın “ahsen-i takvîm” üzerine yaratılması sözünden “insanın gerek fizikî yapısı, gerekse zihinsel fonksiyonları itibariyle en güzel ve en mükemmel şekilde yaratıldığı” anlaşılmalıdır. Gerçekten de insan, boyu bosu, vücut organlarının yerleri, kendisini koruyacak fiziksel yetenekleri, doğruları bulacak akıl, fikir, izan, idrak, vicdan, merhamet, bellek, dikkat gibi zihinsel donanımları ile en güzel, en mükemmel bir yapıda yaratılmıştır. Bu yapının eksiği, kusuru yoktur. Bugüne kadar kimse vücudumuzdaki organların işlevleri ve yerleri konusunda daha değişik işlev ve yer önerme cüretînde bulunamamıştır. Kısacası insan, fiziksel ve zihinsel yapısıyla “ahsen-i takvîm [en güzel şekil, kendisinden daha güzeli bulunmayan bir şekil]” üzerine yaratılmıştır HY. Takvîm" ise bir şeyi, te'lif ve terkibi hususunda, olması gerektiği en güzel biçime sokmak demektir. Nitekim Arapça'da bu manada, “Kavvemtuhu, tekvimen, festekâme vetekavveme” "Ben onu kıvamına getirdim, en güzel biçime koydum, o da en güzel biçime girdi" denilir FRazi.

§ “اصلاح - Islâh” sözcüğünden türemiş olan “sâlihât” düzeltmek demektir. “Sâlihâtı işlemek” ise bozuk olan şeyi düzeltmek, düzelticilik yapmak, düzeltmeye yönelik işler yapmak anlamlarına gelir.
§ Diğer taraftan da Kur’ân, bu âyette geçen “hakkı ve sabrı tavsiyeleşme”yi, Bakara Sûresinin 277. âyetinde geçen “namaz kılma ve zekât verme”yi, Hud Sûresinin 23. âyetinde geçen “edep ve gönülden Allah’a boyun eğme”yi belirtilen âyetler içinde ayrı ayrı zikretmek sûretiyle “sâlihât”tan ayırmıştır. Yani “hakkı ve sabrı tavsiyeleşme”, “namaz kılma ve zekât verme”, “edep ve gönülden Allah’a boyun eğme” gibi hasenat, Kur’ân’a göre “sâlihât”tan” sayılmamaktadır.

Bu kavramı toplumsal boyuta taşıdığımızda, bulunduğumuz zaman ve zeminde adlî, idarî, siyasî, iktisadî ve benzeri alanlarda her türlü bozukluğun düzeltilmesi için gösterilecek çaba, yapılacak uygulama, sâlihâtı işlemektir.
§ Bu konuda, “dışa yansımayan işler” demek olan hasenat ile sâlihât arasındaki fark iyi anlaşılmalıdır. Rabbimiz de bu iki konu arasındaki farkı, her bir haseneye on karşılık verirken (En’âm 160) sâlihât karşılığında cenneti vaat etmek Sûretiyle çok açık bir şekilde belirlemiştir.
